So much for all that momentum the New Orleans Pelicans seemed to have been gaining in their last three games.
After back-to-back wins last week and then a single-digit loss on Saturday, the Pelicans seemed to be figuring things out.
The Pelicans, thanks to a disastrous second quarter and a hot-shooting night from Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen, came crashing back down to earth Monday night with a 121-98 blowout loss at Mortgage Matchup Center.
"It's below our standard of where we want to be," said Pelicans' coach Willie Green.
The Pelicans (2-8) have lost four games by at least 20 points this season. They trailed by as many as 32 in this one.
