OMAHA, Neb. —
Nebraska company Fallen Giant Films held its first annual film showcase Monday at the Holland Performing Arts Center in Omaha.
The company was founded by Omaha native Randy J. Goodwin. Goodwin's credits include roles in popular TV series "Vampire Diaries" and "Grey's Anatomy." FGF said its goal is to highlight Nebraska creativity and the state's growing role in the film industry. Nine of the 11 films produced were created in Omaha.
"Hollywood is here," Goodwin said. "But our Hollywood is going to be much cleaner than what we grew up in."
Omaha Mayor John Ewing Jr. and Nebraska state Sen. Rita Sanders were among the leaders who attended Monday's film showcase.
