Expressing anguish over the recent cases of child molestation in Mebo School and student suicide incidents in Pasighat, Tsering Lhamu, Advisor to the Women and Child Development (WCD) Department and MLA from Lumla, has assured that strict action will be taken against the school authorities found guilty of negligence or failure to promote mental health awareness among students.
In an interaction with India Today, Lhamu described the incidents as “deeply distressing,” emphasizing that despite multiple awareness initiatives undertaken by the department, such tragic occurrences continue to surface.
