Last Thursday and Friday, the 4A girls swimming and diving teams from around Wyoming converged in Laramie for the state meet.

Both Thunder Basin and Campbell County improved on their finishes last season. The Camels finished in fourth place overall with 139.5 points, and the Bolts, they took seventh with 104.5 points. Last season, CCHS was fifth and TBHS was ninth.

This is just the start for the Bolts, who have just one senior graduating from this season’s team. The seventh-place finish is Thunder Basin’s best performance at state since 2018, when the team placed sixth.

Campbell County finishes in the top five for the eighth consecutive season.
