Bhubaneswar: Odisha police have been placed on high alert following Monday evening’s deadly car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi, but the state remains calm with no alarming situation, said Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Sanjay Kumar.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, ADGP Kumar said, “Yesterday evening’s car blast in Delhi was an unfortunate incident. While Odisha generally maintains vigilance, we have increased security measures at religious sites, crowded areas, and other sensitive locations. Sufficient police forces have been deployed across the state to ensure public safety, and at present, no alarming situation has been reported in Odisha.”

He urged citizens to remain cautious and report any suspicious objects or persons immediately.
