Nitro's Xavier Patterson is a man who wears many hats, on and off the field.
Patterson has been a high-level defensive lineman for the Wildcats the last two seasons.
But what some may not know is that the senior defensive lineman enjoys cooking when he's not gearing up on Friday nights.
"Cooking is a passion of mine," Patterson said.
Patterson mentioned how his stepfather got him into cooking, which has led over to his love now as a senior in high school.
Steak is his favorite food to make if it's for his parents or himself.
Patterson arrived to Nitro two years ago and has made an immediate impact to the Wildcats program.
The senior lineman has recorded 74 total tackles, 29 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and two blocked field goals.
