New Delhi, Nov 12: A day after a devastating car explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station, the death toll has climbed to 13, with several others battling for their lives at LNJP Hospital, officials said on Tuesday. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has formally taken charge of the probe into what is being treated as a possible terror attack.

The high-intensity blast occurred around 7 p.m. on Monday when a Hyundai i20 exploded outside Gate No. 1 of the metro station, igniting nearby vehicles and sending shockwaves across the Chandni Chowk area. The explosion gutted several vehicles and shattered windows of nearby shops and buildings.
