Wearing winter hats that read "Justice for Maria," the family of a woman slain last week in Whitestown joined more than 50 supporters at a candlelight vigil Nov. 10 on the steps of the Boone County Prosecutor's Office , demanding justice for the deceased woman.Maria Florinda Ríos Pérez de Velázquez, a 32-year-old wife and mother of four, was shot and killed on a Whitestown porch Nov. 5 after she and her husband went to the wrong home to do a cleaning job.
