CONWAY -- University of Arkansas defensive back commitment Tay Lockett wrapped the last regular-season game of his high school career on Friday with approximately 30 family members on hand.
Lockett, 6-0 and 175 pounds, played his junior season at San Diego (Calif.) University City before transferring to Conway in August.
Conway fell to Bryant 28-21 to close out the regular season at 8-2. Lockett and the Wampus Cats have a bye this week and will start play in the Class 7A playoffs next week.
The move to Arkansas, where his mother Megan is originally from, allowed Lockett to be around numerous Razorback-loving family members.
"That's the people behind the scenes that don't get all the credit that I may be receiving," Lockett said.
