The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has begun across 12 states, including West Bengal. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) continue door-to-door distribution of enumeration forms, and, along with Booth Level Agents (BLAs), are assisting voters and clarifying procedures. Here is what to do if you are not in the country, or if a family member whose name is on the voter list has passed away.
If a deceased relative’s name is still on the 2025 voter list
If a person whose name appears on the 2025 voter list has passed away, the BLO conducting the door-to-door visit will make a note of the death. Those who have not submitted the enumeration form will appear on a separate list to be published at every panchayat and municipality office, as well as on the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO)
