Highest-ever voter turnout of 67.14 per cent provisionally recorded at close of polling in second phase of Bihar assembly elections. All eyes now will turn to the exit polls.

Polling began at a brisk pace, with figures made available by the Election Commission constantly surpassing the same for the corresponding period on November 6, when 121 seats had witnessed, in the first phase, the \"highest ever turnout\" of 65.09 per cent by the end of the day.

In the last elections, the JD(U)’s tally had crashed to 43, a drop of more than 25 seats compared with the previous assembly polls, which was primarily blamed on the revolt of Lok Janshakti Party headed by Chirag Paswan. Read more
