BRONX, N.Y. — Monday night’s cold, blustery weather on the campus of Fordham University may not have been ideal for a championship soccer match, but the St. Joseph by-the-Sea Vikings still made it a night to remember, capping their season with a dramatic 1-0 victory over St. Peter’s in an all-Island CHSAA A city final.
The Vikings made history in the process, becoming the first Sea boys’ team to complete an undefeated season capped by a championship — an achievement head coach Sandy Rapaglia has been chasing since taking over the program in 2018.
