LITTLE FALLS — Minnesotans are gearing up for the state’s largest giving holiday — Give to the Max Day, set for Thursday, Nov. 20, with early giving already rolling at GiveMN.org .

Last year, donors contributed $37.1 million to 6,556 organizations across Minnesota, including $800,000 raised for 542 nonprofits in central Minnesota, the Initiative Foundation in Little Falls reported.

The foundation reported the annual celebration of generosity is more than a single day of giving; it’s a statewide movement to support the organizations that make area communities stronger, more vibrant and more connected.
