Nantucket County placed under a wind advisory until Tuesday night

A wind advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 6:43 a.m. valid between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. for Nantucket County.

The weather service comments, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
