Peaceful voting concludes in Tarn Taran bypoll: 59.21% turnout recorded till 5 pm

Tarn Taran (Punjab), November 11, 2025: The by-election for Punjab’s Tarn Taran Assembly constituency concluded peacefully on Tuesday, recording 59.21 percent voter turnout till 5 PM, according to official figures.
Polling began at 7 AM amid tight security arrangements and continued till 6 PM. Voters were seen queuing up outside polling stations since early morning to cast their votes. However, as the day progressed and temperatures rose, the voter turnout slowed down slightly.
As per Election Commission data, 11% voting was recorded till 9 AM, which increased to 23.35% by 11 AM, 36.06% by 1 PM, and 47.48% by 3 PM. By 5 PM, turnout reached 59.21%, indicating active participation from the el
