New suburb of Bristol named 'Centric Parc' as final plans submitted View 2 Images

Developers wanting to build a new residential extension to South Bristol have formally submitted a planning application giving the details of the new suburb. The new area, which is proposed between the existing Ashton Vale estate and the Long Ashton Park and Ride on the south west edge of the city, will be called ‘Centric Parc’, and will see 510 new homes in a range of flats and houses.

At least 30 per cent of them - more than 150 of them will be classed as ‘affordable’ - and work on the new homes could start as early as next year if planners give the go-ahead. The land was around half of what had been earmarked for a new Ashton Gate Stadium around 15 years ago, but that was abandoned by Bristol Sport own
