Bryan Horsley from the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment will discuss Cape Cod water quality issues on Tuesday, November 18, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sandwich. The presentation begins at 7 PM in the church’s parish hall at 159 Main Street.
Horsley, a project leader at the Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center, will give a brief overview of the most common management approaches being implemented across Barnstable County to address water quality issues. Wastewater systems, including sewers and innovative/alternative septic systems, will be discussed, although most of the talk will focus on the growing practice of ecological sanitation and eco-toilet systems.
