Stirling is set to kick off the festive season this weekend with a magical, family-friendly event marking the switch-on of the city's Christmas lights.
This Saturday (15 November) will see a host of merry activities taking place in the city centre, including the Stirling Farmers Christmas Market, which for the first time will coincide with the day of the lights switch-on.
The much-loved Christmas parade will also make a comeback as part of the celebrations, featuring 'Santa's Helpers. ' The parade will include performances from the City of Stirling and Stirling Schools Pipe Bands, Dunblane's Rubber Chicken Theatre Group, the 1st Raploch Scouts and Beavers, along with appearances from the new Lord Provost and Christmas Characters, including Mr and Mrs Claus themselv
