PICO RIVERA – A suspect who Montebello Police Department officers shot at after he allegedly tried to run over two of their colleagues is on the loose Tuesday in Pico Rivera.
Montebello police were in pursuit of the suspect at approximately 2 a.m. Tuesday when he turned onto a dead-end street in the neighborhood near Fernadel Avenue and Maxine Street.
The suspect then drove onto the sidewalk toward some officers, and that’s when another officer fired multiple shots at the vehicle, ABC 7 reports.
The suspect was able to avoid capture and is at large.
According to reports from the scene, as many as 15 shots were fired by the officers, no officers or bystanders were wounded in the shooting.
