New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are one of the teams to watch out for as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 retention deadline approaches. All ten franchises need to submit the final list of their released and retained players by the deadline on November 15. CSK are reportedly close to finalising a trade deal for Sanju Samson and are expected to release a host of players ahead of the IPL 2026 auction.
CSK are close to landing Samson in a trade deal, which might see star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja heading the other way with England all-rounder Sam Curran. CSK are reportedly ready to trade both players in exchange for Samson, who is viewed as a long-term replacement for the ageing MS Dhoni. However, it remains to be seen if the deal will be completed.
