The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Board of Education voted unanimously on November 3 to approve a 10-cent increase to elementary student lunch prices beginning in January 2026. The change raises the cost of an elementary lunch from $3.50 to $3.60, marking the first adjustment since August 2022.
Alongside the student increase, the board also approved significant price changes for adult meals. Adult breakfast prices will rise from $3.00 to $5.50, and adult lunch prices will increase from $5.50 to $8.00.
