MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University paid tribute to those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces during its annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast, held Tuesday morning at Milan Puskar Stadium’s Diversified Energy Terrace.
Hosted by the WVU Center for Veteran, Military and Family Programs and the Office of Compliance and Prevention Education, the event brought together veterans, active-duty service members, students, and members of the Morgantown community to celebrate the courage, sacrifice, and leadership of those who have worn the uniform.
"This day is for gratitude, reflection, and community," said Penny Lipscum, director of WVU's center for Veterans. "Today we come together not only to share a meal, but to share respect for the men and women who have worn the uniform."
