Flood alerts have been issued in parts of Plymouth this afternoon, amidst a yellow weather warning for the entire city. The Met Office issued a warning for the south west yesterday, which is set to last until 11:59pm tonight (Tuesday, November 11).
The flood alerts are expected to remain until 9pm tomorrow (November 12). A flood alert has been issued for the River Plym and Tory Brook, stating that high river levels throughout the evening may lead to flooding.
The flood alert area covers Plympton, Coypool, Newnham Park, Marsh Mills, Clearbrook and Meavy. Low-lying land in riverside locations at Plympton and Marsh Mills is a particular point of concern, but flooding to properties is not currently forecast.
