The Animal Husbandry Department, Leh, conducted Animal Birth Control (ABC) and Anti-Rabies (AR) camps in Nyoma, Durbuk, and Nubra as part of its ongoing initiative to manage the stray dog population and control the spread of rabies.
The team sterilized and vaccinated a total of 214 stray dogs in Nyoma, Hanley, and Chushul from November 2 to November 7, 2025. Similar camps were also conducted in Skamphuk, Partapur, and Bogdang, where 317 stray dogs were sterilized and vaccinated.
