Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport continued to be affected by FAA capacity reductions resulting from the government shutdown on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Flight tracking website FlightAware showed 40 flights to and from Sky Harbor were delayed and 55 flights were canceled as of 9:50 a.m. on Nov. 11.
Throughout the government shutdown, airports nationwide have experienced air traffic controller shortages. Controller shortages at Sky Harbor led to ground delays and the FAA's mandated capacity reductions .
As of 9:50 a.m. Nov. 11, Sky Harbor was experiencing average ground delays of 41 minutes. These delays were expected to persist until noon on Nov. 11.
