Telecom and energy lift S&P/TSX composite, price of oil climbs higher

TORONTO — Canada's main stock index was up in late-morning trading, helped by strength in the telecom and energy stocks as the price of oil moved higher. The S&P/TSX composite index was up 18.48 points at 30,335.11.
