A joint security drive was conducted in Badrinath as part of the high alert issued in the State following the blast in Delhi. The 7th Assam Regiment, Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Police and State Disaster Response Force conducted the security checks jointly in the pilgrimage township on Tuesday. The authorities conducted checks in the Badrinath temple compound, Taptkund, Ghats and other public places. According to officials, special focus was laid on tackling any possible emergency situation, ensuring the safety of pilgrims and strengthening the quick response system.
