Washington: Indian Ambassador to the US Vinay Kwatra congratulated the new US envoy to India Sergio Gor for being sworn in on Tuesday and wished him luck for his new assignment in New Delhi.

In a post on X, Gor said, “Heartiest Congratulations @SergioGor for being sworn in as the Ambassador of the U.S. to India. I wish you the best as you prepare to take up your assignment in New Delhi. Pleasure to join the celebration at @kencen [Kennedy Centre] last evening to mark the occasion.”

On Monday, US President Donald Trump hosted Gor’s swearing-in ceremony at the White House. He was sworn in by Vice President JD Vance, and senior members of the Trump administration, such as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, attended the ceremony.
