London- The United Kingdom has updated its travel advisory for British nationals visiting India following the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening that left at least twelve people dead and twenty others injured.
In its latest update, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) urged British nationals in Delhi to remain cautious, follow local authorities’ directions, and monitor local news for further developments.
“There has been an explosion at the Red Fort (Lal Qila) Metro Station, New Delhi,” the FCDO advisory stated. “If you’re in the immediate area, follow the advice of the local authorities and monitor local media,” it added.
Officials clarified that the FCDO’s country-based advisory is guidance and not a travel ban, aimed at helping travel
