Shares of commercial vehicles manufacturer Atul Auto Ltd. surged as much as 9% on Tuesday, November 11, in response to its September quarter results.
The company's net profit increased by 70.4% to ₹9.2 crore from ₹5.4 crore it reported during the same quarter last year.
Revenue for the quarter saw a growth of 10.2% from the year-ago period to ₹200 crore from ₹181 crore.
Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation saw a growth of 50.4% from the year-ago quarter to ₹18.8 crore, while margins expanded by 250 basis points to 9.4% from 6.9% in the base quarter.
For the month of October, Atul Auto sold 5% more vehicles to 4,012 units from 3,818 units last year. Domestic sales grew by 7.6% from the last year's quarter.
