A chef with a decorated career that includes more than two decades at the White House is now leading the dining program at The Hythe, a luxury hotel property in Vail, according to the company.
As the resort’s new executive chef, Edwin Scholly is in charge of the menus at its four concepts: Margie’s Haas, Revel Lounge, Mountain Ration Grab & Go and 10th Mountain. He’ll also lead an apprenticeship program, training cooks earning a culinary arts degree.
According to media interviews and a biography shared by booking agency All American Entertainment, Scholly was born in South Africa, raised in Germany and trained in France. He moved to the U.S., served in the Navy and became chef at the White House.
