A year ago, Upper St. Clair came into the WPIAL Class 5A playoffs undefeated, took on a Peters Township team it knocked off in the semifinals and had to watch as the Indians celebrated a trip to the finals after a gut-wrenching 7-3 loss at Bethel Park.
And the Panthers would like nothing more than to completely flip the script in 2025.
For the second consecutive year, Peters Township (11-0) and Upper St. Clair (10-2) will tee it off for a chance to go to Acrisure Stadium for the WPIAL championship game. Only this time around it’s the No. 2 Indians who are unbeaten and the No. 6 Panthers who will attempt to play spoiler when they meet Friday at 7 p.m. at Canon-McMillan.
