MLB’s annual GM meetings are underway this week in Las Vegas. While teams are unlikely to make any major moves right away, the meetings are a good opportunity for them to feel each other out, discuss their needs and start engaging in potential trade discussions.
According to a report on Tuesday from MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, the Kansas City Royals are “evaluating the trade market for outfielders” during this week’s meetings. Morosi also named the Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels as possible trading partners for the Royals.
Given their current logjam of outfielders , the Red Sox could be open to trading one this winter. Meanwhile, Kansas City has some quality starting pitching that could be attractive for Boston.
