A member of the Royal Canadian Air Force marched from CFB Trenton to Belleville General Hospital for Ruck for a Cure, raising $5010 for the Belleville General Hospital Foundation in the process.
On October 17, Captain Aaron Niles marched the 16.4 km carrying a 30-pound ruck to symbolize the heavy burden carried by patients and families facing cancer.
Funds raised will support local cancer care through the Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic.
Niles was joined by his younger brother Sean, who continues his courageous fight against cancer, his nephew Parker who accompanied him on the march, and Major Shawna Mackey of CFB Trenton.
