Troops at one Florida Air Force base were told this month to remove Christmas decorations from their homes because they were put up too early.
On Nov. 4, service members and their families at Tyndall Air Force Base, located near Panama City, received a message from Balfour Beatty Communities, the landlord for all privatized housing on the base, according to Task and Purpose .
The message stated Christmas decorations were seen within the community, but holiday decorations “should be reflective in their respective months.”
An image posted on a civilian Facebook forum showed the note addressed to Tyndall residents titled “One Holiday At A Time” that stated decorations should not go up any sooner than 30 days before the given holiday.
