SRINAGAR: Four days of unbroken police action stretched across Kashmir valley Tuesday, with more than 1,000 people rounded up so far in what officials called a “pre-emptive strike” aimed at dismantling terrorist support networks and preventing attempts to disrupt peace. J&K police said teams carried out surprise checks across districts to create what they described as a deterrent effect against elements allegedly seeking to unsettle public order.
