We could have a pretty good chance to see the Northern Lights in Connecticut Wednesday night.
The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a rare severe geomagnetic storm watch for Wednesday, thanks to some strong solar activity over the past few days.

There have been several coronal mass ejections from the sun since Sunday, according to the agency. A coronal mass ejection is an eruption of solar material and magnetic fields from the surface of the sun.
The Space Weather Prediction Center said the Northern Lights may be visible over much of the northern half of the country, possibly as far south as Alabama.
If they do become visible in Connecticut, they may be obscured by clouds in some areas.
