MADISON (WKOW) — Brianna Decker, a Wisconsin native, U.S. Olympian and professional hockey player, can now add Hall of Famer to her resume.
On Monday night, Decker became the first Wisconsin Women’s Hockey alum to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Decker, who was born in Dousman, attended the University of Wisconsin from 2009-2013. She ranks first in school history for career plus/minus (+175) and is tied for first in career short-handed goals (8), according to information on the Badgers Hockey web page. She also ranks second all-time in points with 244.
Decker earned a gold medal in the Olympics in 2018. She earned silver medals in 2014 and 2022.
Decker retired from USA Hockey in 2023.
