The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Tuesday that WR/CB Travis Hunter will miss the rest of the 2025-2026 season after undergoing surgery to repair a ligament in his knee.
The news comes about two weeks after the team placed their first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on injured reserve after he reportedly suffered a non-contact injury in practice coming out of the team’s bye week.
The Jaguars said the surgery, which went successfully, occurred earlier on Tuesday to repair the lateral collateral ligament (LCL) in Hunter’s right knee and was done by Dr. Dan Cooper and Jaguars team doctor, Dr. Kevin Kaplan in Dallas.
“Hunter, 22, will miss the remainder of the 2025 season, but is expected to return within six months to full football activities,” the team said.
