BIDDEFORD, Maine — A Biddeford man was arrested early Sunday after police said he fled a traffic stop and later refused to comply with officers attempting to take him into custody.
Biddeford police said an officer stopped a "suspicious vehicle" at about 1 a.m. on Nov. 9. The driver initially gave a false name and then drove away, according to the department. Officers later identified him as Harley Winchenbach, 33, of Biddeford.
Police said they learned Winchenbach had an active warrant for trafficking in prison contraband and violating conditions of release. When officers attempted to arrest him at his Congress Street residence, he did not cooperate, according to the department .
