Playing their final game of the year before Thanksgiving, the Sandwich High School football team gave a good effort on November 6, but came up short at home against Wareham in a physical contest, 12-6.
Sandwich had chances, right to the end, but mistakes were their undoing in the close defeat to the Vikings. SHS fell to 6-4 overall on the year. They’ll wrap up the 2025 slate on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, at Mashpee High School at Horne Stadium at 10 AM. Mashpee was eliminated from the Division 7 playoffs on Friday by Clinton High School.
Both teams shortened the game with time-consuming drives that ate up the clock and minimized chances. Each team had the ball just six times over four quarters of play, and in the end the Vikings were able to end two of their drives with scores while
