KILLDEER, N.D. — Before each game, Mott-Regent head coach Karagan Damjanovich walks into the locker room and asks her team if they're ready to have fun.

So when the team was trailing 2-1 after getting blown out in set three, they leaned into that loose flowing identity. The Wildfire took sets four and five to advance to the Region 4 Semifinals over New Salem-Almont.

“I feel like we're here to just have fun,” senior outside hitter Natalie Wiesinger said. “I feel like our team has chemistry, and when we come together after one of those sets where we were down, we're like ‘okay, we got this, we know each other, we know what we want.’”
