As of approximately 10 a.m. CST, Nico Harrison is no longer the general manager of the Dallas Mavericks. Reported first by NBA insider Marc Stein today, Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont has parted ways with the four-years-tenured general manager, a move that was widely called for by fans and spectators through the end of the 2024-2025 season, and that had seen renewed fervor since the team’s disappointing 3-8 start this year.

Now, following this decision, Dumont has also published an open letter “to all Mavs Fans,” in which he provides ownership’s first real direct address since February’s controversial trade of Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers.
