Jacksonville Beach hosted the Super Girl Surf Pro competition Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8. The annual event, now in its fifth year, gathered some of the world's best female surfers from around the globe to compete in Northeast Florida.

Alyssa Spencer of Encinitas, California, was crowned as Sunday's champion with Eden Walla of San Clemente, California, coming in as a runner up.

The largest female-only surfing competition series also included amateur surfers selected on past performance ratings and national rankings. Surfers competed in 20-minute "heats" that were judged on performance, technique, skill level, and the wave's degree of difficulty.
