FRONT ROYAL — About 70 people braved frigid conditions on the Warren County Courthouse lawn Tuesday morning to show their respect and appreciation for the extraordinary contributions of military personnel on Veterans Day.
Hosted by the American Legion Giles B. Cook Post 53 in Front Royal, the event included remarks from Post officials and keynote speaker Lt. Col. Joe Kusior, music and a wreath-laying ceremony.
“I am honored to represent more than 300 of our local American Legion Post 53 families for today’s ceremony. Our post is committed to serving our veterans, their families and our community,” said Post Commander Rick Kinsey, who served as master of ceremonies for the 11 a.m. service.
