1 dead in single-car crash near I

A man died after his car crashed into a pole in Frederick on Monday evening.

At about 6:38 p.m., dispatch received a call that a Chevy Malibu had crashed into a pole near Colo. 52 and East Interstate 25 Frontage Road, according to Renae Lehr, a Frederick spokesperson.

The man was the only person inside the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Lehr said.

Lehr did not have information about the cause of the crash.[
