A legal analyst warned Tuesday that President Donald Trump just "sent a message" with his latest pardon spree.

In a conversation between legal analysts Glenn Kirschner, a former federal prosecutor, and Dave Aronberg, the two experts discussed the 77 new pardons issued by Trump, in addition to the 1,500 pardons for the "boots of the insurrection," and why those stand out.

"They were Donald Trump's 'foot soldiers' who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6, trying to unlawfully keep Donald Trump in power," Kirschner said. "Well, guess what? Donald Trump just got around to pardoning the 'suits' of the insurrection, the lawyers, the white collar co-conspirators of the insurrection. And I use the term 'co-conspirators' advisedly, because when Donald Trump was federally indicted for the alleged crimes he committed in connection with trying to unlawfully retain the power of the presidency on and around Jan. 6, there were six co-conspirators in that federal criminal indictment. They were unindicted co-conspirators... and they were unnamed, but the reporting has clearly demonstrated who those six people were."

Although their names were not revealed in the indictment, it's now clear, Kirschner explained, he was pardoning the allies who were unnamed in the indictment in case of future legal action against them — or potentially himself.

Prominent allies Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, Jeffrey Clark, Boris Epshteyn, Sydney Powell and dozens more were pardoned this week.

"So these are Donald Trump's co-conspirators in his federal criminal case," Kirschner said.

Aronberg compared the president's move to an NBA game and yelling at the referee, "playing for the next call."

"He is trying to send a message to his supporters that 'I will have your back if you are out there as a foot soldier for me,' Aronberg warned.

Aronberg believes that Trump will most likely not attempt another run for office and that he "loves his life as a real billionaire" at Mar-a-Lago and could open the door to a family member to "carry on his legacy."
