NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A man is in custody after he allegedly stole multiple vehicles and led officers on a cross-county chase that ended in Nashville on Monday afternoon.
According to the Coopertown Police Chief, Tyler Haley, the suspect, 27-year-old Talerico Cogshell, of Springfield, allegedly stole a Nissan Frontier from the Discount Tobacco store on Memorial Boulevard in Springfield.
Officers caught up with Cogshell at the Marathon gas station on Tom Austin Highway, but police said he allegedly ran away.
The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office joined in the chase, and deputies attempted to use a taser, which was ineffective, police told Smokey Barn News.
Smokey Barn News said Cogshell then allegedly jumped into a white dually pickup with a 16-foot trailer and drove toward Nashvill
