After seven months of negotiations to hash out settlement language, the legal case against the Holly Hotel remains in limbo.
On Feb. 10., a day before Holly Hotel co-owner George Kutlenios was set to take the stand in a trial intended to restart construction of the hotel, a settlement was reached.
“Your honor, I am happy to report that we have the terms of a resolution that we worked out,” Alexander Reuter, attorney for Jeremiah Roberts told Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Jacob Cunningham.
It turns out that nearly nine months later, terms still have not been fully negotiated and Roberts appears to be the one holding up a resolution to the case. Roberts owns the property next to the hotel.
