DUNLAP, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Dunlap community gathered today to celebrate veterans.
They met at Sequatchie County Highschool to get out of the frigid weather.
There was supposed to be a parade, but the cold weather hampered those plans.
Sequatchie County Schools got the day off, and many students were in attendance.
Speakers included representatives of the local VFW, the American Legion, and special guests.
Members of the Sequatchie County High School band volunteered to play a medley of military songs.
We were told that for the veterans coming home, sometimes the best thing you can do for them is just lend an ear.
